OUR V/SION
EMBARK ON A JOURNEY. AstroSankofa Arts Initiatives is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization and artist collective that engages the Afrofuturistic themes of sankofanology and solarpunk in community art interventions such as public art installation and murals as well as web 3 activities. Working across Canada and internationally, AstroSankofa supports professional and emerging Black artists providing them with mentorship, transferable skills and career building opportunities through collaborations and a series of programs. In addition to our projects we seek to support the next generation of creatives by offering workshops and special programs for youth and in schools. Each initiative seeks to reinstate the power of arts, celebrate Black Canadian stories as well the Black community's connection to their ancestral roots to improve the collective future.
